about
This was recorded in 2007 with Cam Walker on drums, James Musgrave on Bass and Matt Craw on guitar. It was one of the earlier tracks written before we started playing and writing sprawling instrumentals. It ended up with vocals and lyrics which were recorded, but omitted here as the vocal take needed a bit more work.
lyrics
When I cross the deep canyon
with nowhere in its belly
and nothing in its heart
I throw over my friend rainbow
and walk soft as a wolf
upon a rain drenched spine
The road bled tar all summer long
and the drone would sound at night
vultures hypnotically circled
as I watched the evening fry
The land in view
it's part of you
appointed you
a point of view
